How much does it cost to plant one mu of passion fruit?

Growing passion fruit makes it easy to achieve a high yield, and it often brings very high profits, so fruit growers all plant some passion fruit. So how much does it cost to plant one mu of passion fruit?

1. The cost of planting one mu of passion fruit

1. Seedlings: at present, the price of seedlings on the market is about 3 yuan/plant, and about 80 plants can be planted per mu, so the cost of seedlings is about 250 yuan.

2. Rent: at present, rent in rural areas is not expensive, at about 600 yuan/mu. If you have land suitable for growing passion fruit yourself, then this can be saved.

3. Fertilizer: passion fruit has a relatively large demand for nutrients during its growth process, and it is necessary to meet its needs for nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium as well as farmyard manure. The fertilizer input per mu is about 1,800 yuan.

4. Greenhouse: passion fruit is generally grown mainly in greenhouses. The construction of a greenhouse includes pipes, cement and greenhouse film, etc., and the total construction cost is about 2,000 yuan. However, a greenhouse can be used continuously for many years, so its cost is relatively small when averaged out.

5. Other costs: if your own planting experience is insufficient, you may also need to invest about 2,000 yuan in labor costs. Then, plus various miscellaneous expenses such as pesticides, water and electricity, a total of about 3,000 yuan is needed.

2. Market price

Passion fruit has very good seasonality and efficacy, so its high value is understandable. Because passion fruit is produced in the south, especially in the Guangdong and Guangxi regions, the price is relatively cheaper in the Guangdong and Guangxi regions. When it goes to other places, especially the northern regions, the price will rise. Although it is expensive, northerners also like to eat passion fruit very much. If you buy it in the market in the Guangdong and Guangxi regions, the price is around six or seven yuan per jin. If it is from other places, adding shipping costs will bring it to around ten yuan per jin, and direct free shipping by post is about the same price.

The yield of passion fruit is about 1,500 kg per mu, and one mu can be sold for about 20,000 yuan. After deducting costs, the profit is about 10,000 yuan. If there is a bumper year, the profit may even be higher.
