To cultivate reishi mushrooms, you must first build a good greenhouse and prepare the growing medium, and the growing medium must be disinfected before entering the greenhouse. The planting time is mainly spring from April to May and autumn from September to October. Inoculation must be carried out in a sterile environment, and after inoculation the temperature must be well controlled. During its mycelium growth period, pay attention to ventilation and light, and when the fruiting bodies appear, spray water appropriately to maintain moisture. Finally, once the reishi fruiting bodies mature, they can be harvested. Although reishi mushroom cultivation is not very difficult, the following points must be noted during the process:

1. Temperature

Temperature is very critical when cultivating reishi mushrooms. This is especially true during mycelium growth. During mycelium growth, it can tolerate high temperatures of up to 40 degrees. However, the most suitable temperature for mycelium growth is around 25. This is what makes mycelium grow faster. During the growth of reishi fruiting bodies, the temperature is best between 23 and 28 degrees. If the temperature is too high or too low, it will affect the growth of the reishi fruiting bodies. During reishi growth, the ambient temperature is the key factor determining reishi yield. Therefore, when cultivating reishi mushrooms, you must properly control the temperature of the surrounding environment.

2. Nutrients

If there are not enough nutrients when cultivating reishi mushrooms, it will not only reduce the yield of reishi mushrooms, but the quality of the reishi mushrooms will be affected as well.

3. Moisture

During reishi growth, the surrounding environment must be kept moist. During mycelium growth, the moisture in the air is best at around 70%. This way the reishi mushrooms will develop more fully. The quality of the reishi mushrooms will also be higher. During the growth of reishi fruiting bodies, the moisture requirement is greater. At this time, the moisture content of the air around the reishi mushrooms is best above 85%.

4. Light

Reishi mushrooms are very sensitive to light during cultivation. In the early stage of reishi growth, try to keep the reishi mushrooms from being exposed to sunlight. After the mycelium grows into fruiting bodies, scattered light can be provided appropriately.

Generally, the winter reishi produced in January to February is of the best quality, but during cultivation the temperature must be well controlled, and windows should be opened appropriately for ventilation and air exchange.
