Jingya grape is a new grape variety bred from European-American hybridization. It is deeply loved by people for its large berries and sweet-tart flavor. It is currently cultivated in Beijing, Zhejiang and other places in China. Sowhat are the cultivation techniques for Jingya grape?

1. Site selection and shed construction

Choose a piece of land with convenient transportation, sufficient water sources and no pollution nearby, and keep it as far away from urban areas as possible. Then, oriented north-south, build a greenhouse with a bed width of 1.5 m, a ditch width of 0.6 m and a length of about 40 m, set up the arched frame and wire, cover it with plastic film, and finally install the watering equipment.

2. Seedling planting

Select some healthy and superior seedlings, plant them in the soil at a row spacing of 1.7-2 m and a plant spacing of 0.7-1 m, cover with soil and water them. Generally, about 400 plants are planted per mu.

3. Management techniques after planting

(1) Pinching: heavy pinching before flowering. The growth characteristics of Jingya grape are similar to those of Kyoho, and flower and fruit drop is relatively serious. Therefore, 3-5 days before flowering, pinch the shoot by leaving 5-7 leaves in front of the fruit cluster to increase the fruit-setting rate.

(2) Spraying: spraying borax at the flowering stage. The phenomenon of large and small berries in Jingya grape is relatively serious. Spraying borax 1-2 times at the flowering stage gives a better effect.Soaking with grape swelling agent after flowering. Grape swelling agent is very effective in increasing the fruit-setting rate and solving the phenomenon of large and small berries. The soaking time is 7-10 days after flowering. If gibberellin at 50 PPm is also soaked once before flowering, seedless Jingya berries can be produced.

(3) Cluster trimming and shaping: remove the secondary cluster and the first and second small clusters, and remove the lower 1/5 of the inflorescence. The trimmed fruit cluster is nearly cylindrical, neat and attractive, and resistant to transport.

(4) Fertilizer and water management: pre-flowering management is the same as for other varieties. Water and fertilizer at the flowering stage should be applied earlier than for other varieties, especially before the young fruit swells, water and fertilizer should be used to promote vigorous growth. In the later stage, pay attention to controlling nitrogen fertilizer.

4. Timely harvesting

If Jingya grape is harvested too early, the acidity is high and it is not easily accepted by the market; if harvested too late, the fruit is prone to wrinkling. The best harvest period is within one week after the fruit color turns purple-black.

Overall, Jingya grape is still quite easy to cultivate. As long as the shed is built well, good seedlings are selected, they are planted in the soil at an appropriate spacing, and finally the work of fertilizer and water management, pruning and flower thinning is done well, it will be fine.
