How to Grow Soybeans as a Small Potted Plant? A Detailed Guide to Home Cultivation
Soybeans are a common type of bean in daily life, not only high in nutritional value but also easy to grow, so many people grow them as potted plants at home. So how do you grow soybeans as a small potted plant?
1. Seed selection
Choose some soybeans with smooth surfaces, large size and plumpness, as these soybeans will germinate more easily after planting.
2. Treating the seeds
After selecting them, put the soybeans into a water-filled container and change the water every day. The seeds will sprout in about 3 days.
3. Preparing the pot and soil
Prepare a suitable pot and soil. The size of the flower pot can be chosen freely according to your actual situation, and it is best if the bottom of the pot has drainage holes. The prepared soil should be fine; using large clumps of soil is not good for soybean germination, and the prepared soil should not be too loose either, otherwise it will not be able to hold the root system of the small potted plant later on.
4. Sowing
Before planting, water the pot soil first, just enough that the soil can be squeezed into a ball; too much water in the soil is also not good. Dig a few small holes in the soil, place the soybeans into the holes, and cover them appropriately with a layer of fine soil or moss. Finally, keep the soil in a moist state and give it appropriate sunlight during the growing period.
Overall, soybeans are very easy to grow as a potted plant. Just select good seeds first, put them in water to sprout, and after 3 days take them out, drain off the water, and plant them in the soil.
