What are the application scope and suitable crops of alachlor?
Alachlor is a selective pre-emergence herbicide, and many people use alachlor to control weeds in their own farmland. What is the application scope of alachlor? Let's take a look!
1. Application scope of alachlor
Alachlor is suitable for crops such as cotton, rapeseed, corn, peanut, soybean, sugarcane, potato, onion, chili pepper and cabbage, and it has a certain control effect on annual grass weeds such as goosegrass, fall panicum, barnyardgrass, crabgrass, Indian goosegrass, brachiaria and foxtail.
2. Dosage reference
1. If controlling annual grass weeds in cotton, rapeseed, corn, peanut, soybean and other fields, the dosage is generally 20-30g active ingredient/100m2;
2. If used before sowing and emergence or before transplanting of corn, peanut and vegetables, the dosage is 48% emulsifiable concentrate 30-38mL/100m2;
3. If used after soybean sowing and before emergence, the specific dosage is 48% emulsifiable concentrate 30-45mL/100m2.
3. Precautions for use
1. When alachlor is not in use, it must be stored sealed;
2. Alachlor has poor water solubility, and when the weather is hot and dry and there is no irrigation condition, the pre-sowing soil incorporation method can be used for alachlor to avoid the herbicide failing to take effect;
3. Alachlor should be used before weeds emerge, because alachlor has little effect on weeds that have already emerged.
