Detailed Explanation of Chicken Leg Mushroom Planting Techniques and Cultivation Management Methods
Chicken leg mushroom is a common edible mushroom in daily life. Because of its good taste and extremely high edible value, it is deeply loved by people. It is now cultivated in most areas. So what are the chicken leg mushroom planting techniques?
1. Selection of cultivation site
Cultivation can be done in greenhouses and small arch sheds on field beds, indoors and in greenhouses on multi-layer shelves, in solar greenhouses, glass greenhouses, and with shading in late autumn and winter. Bag burial cultivation can also be carried out in corn fields and sugarcane fields during vigorous growth in spring. Air-raid shelters, underground passages, and cave dwellings are even more suitable for cultivation in all four seasons.
2. Fermentation materials
When fermenting the cultivation materials, build a trapezoidal pile 1 m high and 1.5-2 m wide, cover it with a straw curtain or plastic film, and do not turn the material for the first 2 days. Turn the material on the third day. When turning, swap the positions of the upper, middle, and lower materials and the inner and outer materials so they are heated evenly. Use the handle of an iron shovel to poke ventilation holes every 15 cm in the material all the way through, so that oxygen can enter, waste gas can be released, and the heat generated by thermophilic actinomycetes can escape, then cover again with plastic film. In this way, when the core temperature of the material reaches 65°C-85°C, turn the pile 3-4 times, and it will ferment thoroughly. To prevent flies, spray insecticide specially for edible fungi on the surface of the material and around the pile.
3. Sowing and cultivation
(1) Build beds: dig beds 1.2 m wide, 10 cm deep, and of unlimited length, totaling 20 sq m, and dig drainage ditches 20 cm deep and 20 cm wide around them.
(2) Bed disinfection: a few days before cultivation, pour 3% limewater over the entire bed, and on the day of cultivation spread a layer of dry plant ash.
(3) Sowing method: use the layered sowing method with 3 layers of material and 3 layers of spawn. Based on dry material, use 20 kg per sq m, about 25 cm thick, with a spawning rate of 10%. After cultivation is finished, compact and level the surface of the material with a wooden board, thinly spread a layer of dry plant ash, then cover with 3 cm of soil, thinly spread another layer of plant ash on the soil surface, cover with film for mycelial growth, and after 3 days shake the film to ventilate and exchange air, twice a day.
4. Bag removal, soil covering, and fruiting
(1) First, after removing the bags from the mushroom bags, stand the mushroom plugs upright one by one in the field bed. After the whole bed is filled, fill the gaps between the mushroom plugs with soil.
(2) After leveling, water heavily once. After a few hours, cover the surface with 2-3 cm of granular fertile soil, spray light water on the soil 1-2 times a day, let the moisture gradually soak through the soil layer, and afterward keep the soil layer moist. After 20-25 days, mushrooms can emerge.
Overall, chicken leg mushroom is still very easy to grow. As long as you choose a good cultivation site, prepare the substrate well, then put it into bags, and control humidity, temperature, and so on, mushrooms can emerge.
