1. Selenium-enriched loquats in Xianlong Town

Luo Jisheng, a large-scale grower in Niumenkou Village, Xianlong Town, has been involved with fruit for over 40 years. He has grown citrus, pears and other fruits, and has also worked as a fruit broker, with over 20 years of experience growing loquats. Last year, Luo Jisheng collaborated with an elderly professor from Southwest University to successfully develop and produce selenium-enriched loquats. The selenium content of the fresh loquat fruit reached 0.0635mg/kg. Since then, Yongchuan has had selenium-enriched loquats, and sales have exceeded supply.

In Zhutuo Town, Yongchuan District, there is a somewhat well-known “Wang's Loquats” grower named Wang Cunming. Wang Cunming mainly grows several high-quality varieties such as Zaozhong No. 6, Wuxing loquat and Jinfeng, with early-, mid- and late-maturing types all available, coming to market in batches in succession. Because his loquats are large, good-looking, smooth-skinned and high in sweetness, they are favored by the market, and fruit vendors all “guard” his home to buy the fruit.

3. Fuda Loquat Orchard

The 200-mu Fuda Loquat Orchard is located in Xiaonan Village, South Street, only 2 kilometers from the urban area, with very convenient transportation.
