The rose is a beautiful and fragrant flower, and many people want to grow it, and some friends want to grow it from seed. So,what is the method for growing rose seeds?

1. Seeds

The seeds of the rose can be collected yourself or bought online. If you want to collect them yourself, do so after the seeds mature in September-October. After collection, store them refrigerated at low temperature and sow them the following year.

2. Soil

The rose is not demanding about soil, but deep, loose, fertile, well-drained soil is best. You can mix 5 parts garden soil, 3 parts leaf mold and 2 parts rice husk ash into a nutrient soil.

3. Sowing

Rose seeds are generally sown in March-April, and healthy, plump seeds should be chosen. Soak the seeds in clean water for 1-2 days, then rinse them clean and let them dry. After drying, sow them in a flower pot and cover with just a little soil. Water a little to keep the soil slightly moist. If the temperature is low, cover with plastic film, then wait for the seedlings to emerge.

4. Seedling Emergence

After the rose seeds have emerged, remove the plastic film and water the soil. Water gently, without disturbing the soil and burying the seedlings, then water once every 10 days. After the seedlings grow their first pair of true leaves, water once every 15 days. When the seedlings have grown to 20 cm tall, they can be transplanted.
