The seeds inside goji berries cannot be planted, because farmers generally harvest goji berries before they are fully ripe, at which point the seeds inside are not mature and therefore cannot be planted. Moreover, the goji berries we buy are all dried, and the seeds inside cannot survive at high temperatures. However, if you want to grow goji berries, you can buy them at seed stations, seed shops and other places. When planting, pay attention to:

1. Sowing time

The best time to sow goji berry seeds is in spring. Generally speaking, sowing from late April to early May is more common. Because it has certain temperature requirements, sowing in northern regions is slightly later, while sowing in the warmer southern regions is slightly earlier. However, due to differences in geographical location, climate and other factors, the sowing time for goji berries in different places will also vary somewhat. Everyone should base it on actual conditions.

2. Seed selection and germination

Generally, goji berry seeds cannot be stored for more than four years, and it is best to choose fresh seeds for planting. Soak the selected goji berry seeds in warm water at 20 degrees for about 8 hours.

3. Sowing

Before sowing, the land should be deeply plowed thoroughly, then raked level, and trenches about 4cm wide and 1cm deep should be opened on the bed surface for sowing the seeds. When sowing, mix the goji berry seeds evenly with 10 times their amount of fine sand, then evenly scatter them into the trenches, cover with 0.5cm of fine moist soil, and press down slightly, then cover with wet grass.
