What is the propagation method of the queen of the night cactus?

1. From the selected plant, cut a 30 cm-long stem segment and place it in a cool, shaded spot for about a week; once the wound has healed, it can be propagated by cuttings. This can be done throughout the year, but spring is the most suitable season.

2. Before taking cuttings, dig planting holes with a spacing of 3x4 m and a diameter and depth of 30 cm each, and apply an appropriate amount of fertilizer, preferably a mixture of rotted pig and cattle manure, plant ash, organic matter, or phosphate fertilizer.

3. When planting, never let the cut surface of the stem segment come into direct contact with the soil; place it slanted on a medium made of organic fibrous material mixed with crushed stones, wood shavings, bagasse, or rice straw. Place 1-2.5 kg each of crushed stones and organic fibrous material medium in each hole. When inserting the cuttings, distribute 2-3 slanted cuttings evenly in each hole.

After the queen of the night cactus is planted out, good work must be done on watering, fertilizing, pruning, and other tasks.
