1. Generally, choosing flowers that are in season makes them easier to keep alive, since this is also their growing season, and the flowers they produce are at their freshest.
2. If what you bought from the flower market is a bare-root plant without soil, soak the plant in water when you get home so it can absorb plenty of water; this can prevent it from dehydrating and dying.
3. If what you are planting is flower seed, generally speaking, some seeds with thicker seed coats need to be pre-germinated before sowing. A suitable method is to soak the seeds in warm water for a few hours or a day. It depends on the situation.
4. The flower pot used for growing flowers must be the right size. It only needs to be one size larger than the root mass of the plant variety being grown. The bottom of the flower pot must have drainage holes.
5. The potting soil chosen is generally loose, fertile soil with good drainage; garden soil can be used, and it is best to mix the soil according to the flower type. After the flower seedlings are planted, water them thoroughly immediately, then place them in a shaded spot outdoors to recover; do not rush to water again, and wait until the flower seedlings resume growth before carrying out later watering and topdressing.
