Rapeseed, also known as rapeseed seed, is one of China's main oilseed crops and nectar-source crops. Today I'll explain how to plant rapeseed.

1. Seed selection

If there is a local place that sells rapeseed seeds, it is best to buy locally; you can also buy online from stores with good sales and high overall ratings, as the seed quality will be relatively more guaranteed.

2. Sprouting and waking the seeds

Rapeseed seeds are very small and easily mixed with impurities, so remove the impurities first before sprouting. The sprouting method is fairly simple: just soak the rapeseed seeds in warm water at about 30 degrees for 5 hours, then remove the seeds and place them in a warm spot. When 50% of the seeds show white sprouts, they can be sown.

3. Planting soil selection

Rapeseed likes light, so it is best to choose a spot with ample sunlight for sowing, and before sowing, dig the soil deeply and level it.

4. Sowing method and management

When sowing, do not plant too deep; keep it at 1-2 cm, and note that the soil cover should not exceed 3 cm. After sowing is complete, observe the growth of the rapeseed and strengthen pest and disease prevention.

Rapeseed is generally sown mostly in spring and autumn. Because of differences in climate and temperature between regions, the sowing season for rapeseed differs, so rapeseed can be divided into winter rapeseed and spring rapeseed.
