Where are the main rapeseed producing areas located?
Rapeseed is a kind of seed that can be pressed for oil, with high application value. At present, many regions in China are planting it, so where are the rapeseed producing areas?
1. Where are the rapeseed producing areas?
The producing areas of spring-sown rapeseed are Inner Mongolia, Qinghai, Xinjiang, Gansu, etc., among which the Hailar region of Inner Mongolia is the most concentrated. The producing areas of autumn-winter sown rapeseed oil are Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Jiangxi, Hubei, Hunan, Chongqing, Yunnan, Sichuan, Guizhou, etc., among which Hubei is the largest producing province, and Sichuan is the second largest producing province.
2. How is rapeseed pressed for oil?
1. Clean and dry the rapeseed
If the soil, stems, leaves and other debris mixed in the rapeseed are not removed before it enters the oil press, it will not only affect the quality of the oil and cake meal, but also absorb part of the oil, reducing the oil yield. If sand, stones, metal, hemp rope and other debris are mixed in the rapeseed, it will further cause wear to machine parts, induce production accidents, and affect the process effect. Therefore, in order to ensure smooth production, impurities must be removed as much as possible. For individual rapeseed fruits with high moisture content, drying treatment is also very necessary to facilitate hulling.
2. Heat treatment
Heat treatment is one of the most important processes in oil extraction, including moistening and heating of the raw cake, which is called steaming the cake or roasting the cake in production. The cake after steaming and roasting is called cooked cake. Pressing raw cake after heat treatment is called hot pressing, and without heat treatment is called cold pressing. Rapeseed is mainly hot pressed. The quality of the heat treatment effect has a direct impact on the smooth progress of the entire oil-making process, the oil yield, and the quality of the oil and cake meal.
3. Pressing
The round pressing bars of the oil press form a sawtooth-shaped curve and conical surface. When the rapeseed is being pressed, it is pushed and squeezed by the pressing screw, causing the volume of the space between the pressing screw and the inner wall of the pressing cage to change continuously. At the rear part of the pressing cage, because round pressing bars are arranged there, the inner wall of the pressing cage is sawtooth-shaped. The material cake is alternately pressed and relaxed here, and the structure of the material cake is continuously adjusted and evenly turned, so that material cakes from which oil has not been pressed out or from which less oil has been pressed out have more opportunities to be fully pressed.
Overall, there are many rapeseed producing areas, and it is planted in most regions of China, among which Hubei and Sichuan are the largest producing provinces in China.
