How to Grow Rainbow Flower? Cultivation Methods and Precautions
The rainbow flower has plump leaves and beautiful blooms, with flower colors including purplish red, orange-red, light yellow and others. Its vines twine and its leaves resemble those of the bowl lotus. It is an important ornamental flower, so how do you grow a rainbow flower?
1. Sufficient water
The rainbow flower prefers moist conditions; generally, it should be watered once every two to three days. However, the amount of water should not be too much, as waterlogging can cause root rot, or yellowing and dropping of leaves.
2. A moderate amount of fertilizer
Generally, applying fertilizer once every three to four weeks is enough. Pay attention to the type of fertilizer; do not use too much nitrogen fertilizer. In addition, before winter arrives, apply a special extra dose of overwintering fertilizer to help it get through the winter.
3. Suitable light
The rainbow flower likes light and needs even lighting, so its position can be rotated appropriately. In addition, too intense light must be avoided.
In autumn, it may develop some pest problems, which need to be eliminated with insecticide, and the debris around the plant should be cleaned up thoroughly.
