How to Plant Moss? Detailed Guide to Planting Methods and Care Tips
We cultivate moss mainly to enhance the beauty of the aquatic plant landscape. So how do you plant moss?
Pour aquatic plant soil into the grass tank, place volcanic rocks on top of the aquatic plant soil, and pour some more soil between the gaps in the rocks. Prepare the moss, ready for the next step. Then use a grinder to crush the moss and guppy grass, and set them aside. Use a sprayer to wet the rocks, then stick the crushed moss and guppy grass onto the wet rocks. Then seal the top of the grass tank with foam so the moss slowly grows. Finally, add purified water.
Keeping moss alive is very simple and easy, but getting moss to thrive is not so easy. The best method is still to use strong lighting, plus carbon dioxide, and liquid fertilizer must be added regularly. The suitable temperature for moss growth is 22°C-30°C. If it exceeds 30°C, the leaves will begin to turn yellow and slowly die, so you should strengthen control of the water temperature in the tank.
