Peanuts are grown on a large area in our country; their seeds can be eaten and also pressed for oil, and can be processed into many kinds of by-products. What are the main peanut producing areas?

1. Peanut producing areas

China's peanut industry can be roughly divided, with the Yangtze River basin as the boundary, into two major regions: the southern small-peanut region and the northern large-peanut region.

Based on latitude and heat conditions, landform types, and the climatic indicators suitable for varieties of different ecological types, and referring to previous divisions of producing areas, China's peanut growing areas are subdivided into 7 regions and 10 subregions. They are: the Huang-Huai River basin peanut region; the Yangtze River basin spring and summer peanut alternating region; the southern spring and autumn double-cropping peanut region; the Northeast early-maturing peanut region; the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau peanut region; the Loess Plateau peanut region; and the Northwest inland peanut region.

2. Conditions of the main peanut producing provinces (regions)
