Yizhijian can be planted, and the specific cultivation techniques are as follows:

1. Propagation methods

Bulb division propagation and artificial bulb cutting propagation. Among them, bulb division propagation is mainly used.

2. Planting time

Carry out after flowering in autumn or when the leaves have just withered in spring.

3. Planting techniques

(1) Use a knife to make a cross-shaped vertical cut from the base of the bulb upward, to a depth of about 3/4 of the bulb.

(2) Bury the bulb in sand or sphagnum moss. After a period of time, many small bulbs can grow at the cut.

(3) Separate the small bulbs with roots and plant them in soil. They will bloom after about 3 to 4 years. If sown immediately after harvest in autumn, they will grow radicles in the same year and sprout the following spring. If they are seedlings, they need to be cultivated for 5 to 6 years before they can bloom.
