How to Plant Jujube Pits? Detailed Planting Method Guide
Jujube is a common fruit in daily life. We usually only eat the flesh of the jujube and throw the pit inside straight away, but in fact the jujube pit has high utility value, for example, it can be used to grow a jujube tree. So how do you plant jujube pits?
1. How to plant jujube pits
1. From a high-quality jujube tree, select pits that contain a kernel and take out the kernel, then soak it in warm water at 25°C for a full day and night.
2. Scoop them out and put them in a basket, cover them with a damp cloth, keep the seed temperature at around 24°C, rinse them with warm water at 25°C 4 times a day; after 3 days most of them will have sprouted, and on the 4th day they can be sown.
3. The nursery bed should be given plenty of base fertilizer, deeply plowed and finely harrowed, then opened into furrows 10 cm deep with a row spacing of 65 cm; water the furrows evenly, and once the water has seeped away, sow by dibbling at a plant spacing of 20 cm, placing 3—4 seeds per hole, then cover with fine soil and level the furrow.
4. Also build it up into a small mound 15 cm wide and 10 cm high; after 5 days level off the mound, and one week later the seedlings will push up through the ground.
5. In the spring of the third year they can be transplanted.
