Golden Blessing mushroom (Tricholoma lobayense) is a very common edible mushroom, with a thick, crisp and tender fruiting body, a slightly sweet and delicious taste, and good storability. It is suitable for fresh sale and drying processing, and is highly favored by the market. So what are the cultivation techniques for Golden Blessing mushroom?

1. Composting and fermentation of the culture material

First, mix auxiliary materials such as wheat bran, gypsum powder and quicklime evenly in a dry state, then thoroughly mix them with main materials such as cottonseed hulls pre-wetted for 24 hours and spent mushroom substrate, add clean water and mix the material, adjusting the moisture content of the material to 65% and the pH value to 7.5-8.5. Then pile the culture material into a compost heap about 1.5 m wide and 1.5 m high with a suitable length, and make ventilation holes in the heap at a spacing of 30 cm to promote aerobic fermentation. When the material temperature rises to 60°C, start turning the pile, turning it 2-3 times in total, with a fermentation time of 7-10 days. After fermentation treatment, the culture material is brown, loose in texture, not sticky, not rotten, odorless, and free of sour or spoiled smells. When the culture material is squeezed tightly by hand, it is appropriate if water droplets appear between the fingers but do not drip down. If the moisture is somewhat low, spray 0.5% lime clear water, turn and mix evenly, and extend fermentation for 2 days.

2. Bagging, sterilization and inoculation

The tube bags use 17 cm × 55 cm × 0.4 micrometer ethylene tube material, and after the material is loaded, the bag weighs about 2 kg. After bagging, put them into the sterilizer promptly for sterilization to prevent the culture material from acidifying and deteriorating. The fungus tubes loaded into the sterilization stove are arranged in stacked rows, and appropriate gaps should be left between stacks to facilitate steam circulation. Atmospheric pressure sterilization at 100°C maintained for 13 hours is appropriate. After coming out of the stove, inoculate when the material temperature drops below 28°C.

3. Spawn-running management

During the mycelial growth period, shading treatment is required, and mycelium grows vigorously under dark conditions. After inoculation, move the fungus bags into a clean, well-ventilated, dimly lit cultivation room for spawn running. During the mycelial growth stage, keep the indoor humidity at about 70%. When the temperature is relatively low, place the fungus bags closely together and appropriately raise the temperature to 20°C for spawn running. In the middle and late stages of spawn running, the metabolism of the mycelium accelerates and the oxygen demand increases, so windows should be opened more for ventilation, or a fine needle should be used to prick 4-6 holes where there is mycelium. After the mycelium has fully covered the bags, prick holes all over to accelerate the post-ripening effect of mycelial maturation. However, after pricking holes, the temperature rises quickly, so ventilation in the room should be strengthened.

4. Casing soil

1. Bed cultivation for fruiting after complete bag removal and casing soil. At suitable temperature, after 40-50 days, the mycelium fully grows within the culture material. When the surface of the material is white and a small amount of primordia has formed, the beds can be arranged or the beds can be arranged for casing soil. Peel off the plastic film of the fungus bags and place them on the ground beds, with a spacing of 1-2 cm, fill the spaces between the fungus bags with soil, and then carry out surface casing soil. Sandy loam soil can be selected, sun-dried, then added with 3% lime or sprayed with a 1,000-fold dilution of prochloraz and mixed evenly, then piled and sealed for 5 days before use. The soil layer thickness should preferably be 3-4 cm.

2. Casing soil within bags: after the mycelium has fully covered the bags, there is no need to remove the plastic film. Arrange the bags neatly on the fruiting racks, open the bag mouths and sprinkle on disinfected garden soil or river mud-rice husk soil, spray water on the bags to retain moisture, and the entire mushroom house also needs to be sprayed with water to retain moisture, so that the air humidity in the mushroom house reaches above 85%.

5. Fruiting management

After casing soil, appropriately reduce ventilation and air exchange, increase the carbon dioxide concentration, and keep the soil moist. Wait until the mycelium climbs onto the soil surface and is relatively evenly distributed on the soil surface, then strengthen ventilation and air exchange or spray water to prompt the mycelium to lie down and prevent aerial mycelium from growing excessively and affecting fruiting. After casing soil, in 15-20 days the mycelium on the material surface knots and forms primordia, producing mushroom buds. About 7 days after casing soil, the mycelium climbs onto the soil surface. When the mycelium has spread all over the soil surface, increase the moisture differential treatment and increase the number of ventilation times to promote mycelial knotting, primordium differentiation, and mushroom bud formation. When the Golden Blessing mushroom buds reach the size of rice grains, do not spray water directly on the mushroom buds. On dry days, lightly spray water mist into the air to raise the air humidity to 80-85%. At the same time, strengthen ventilation and air exchange and light intensity to avoid producing inferior mushrooms with long stipes and thin caps. When the fruiting bodies grow to about 3 cm, increase the number of water sprays, spraying water 2 times a day, maintain sufficient fresh air, raise the water content of the casing soil layer to about 70%, and keep the air humidity at 85%-95%.

Golden Blessing mushroom is very popular in the market. Whether fresh or dried and processed, it sells very well. Cultivation is also very simple and it is very suitable for large-scale cultivation.
