How to Propagate the Signature Tree? A Detailed Guide to Common Propagation Methods
The signature tree is not very common as a potted plant in China, so resources on how to grow the signature tree are relatively scarce, but this does not stop gardening enthusiasts from growing the signature tree. We can refer to foreign resources to learn about the propagation methods of the signature tree.
The signature tree can be propagated by cuttings and by sowing seeds.
The signature tree is suited to growing in a location with plenty of light, warmth and humidity, but in summer when the sun is quite harsh, it needs appropriate shading (ideally grown in a shaded spot), otherwise the leaves may get sunburned and develop spots; if it is grown in a spot with insufficient light, it will become leggy, the leaves may turn yellow, and the distance between the leaves will increase.
The signature tree is not very demanding about soil, but make sure the soil is loose, free-draining and well aerated. It is better to let it be a little dry than a little wet. As for fertiliser, the same fertiliser used for other flowers and trees will do, mainly nitrogen-based. The wintering temperature should preferably not be too low, otherwise it may well freeze to death.
