How to grow a cypress bonsai? Teaching you the correct care methods
Cypress can not only be planted outdoors, but can also be grown indoors as a bonsai, so how do you grow a cypress bonsai?
1. Placement location
It is recommended to place cypress in a spot with moist air and ample sunlight. In winter it can be placed indoors to overwinter, and in midsummer pay attention to shading to prevent scorching from direct sun.
2. Fertilizer and water management
Keep the potting soil adequately moist, but do not let water accumulate. Regularly spray water on the branches and leaves to promote robust growth. Use dilute, well-rotted cake fertilizer water or organic fertilizer, applying it 2-3 times each year from March to May; in autumn, place well-rotted cake fertilizer crumbs in the pot.
3. Repotting
Repot once every 2-3 years, preferably in spring from March to April, though autumn is also acceptable. When repotting, trim and tidy the roots appropriately.
4. Pest and disease control
The main disease of cypress is rust, and the main pest is spider mites; the damage is quite serious, so timely prevention and control must be paid attention to.
The above are the cultivation methods for cypress bonsai, and I hope they are helpful to everyone.
