What are the cultivation methods and precautions for Yiyeging?
Yiyeging is a common indoor foliage plant, and because its leaves stay evergreen all year round and the plant is attractive, it is deeply loved by flower enthusiasts, so how do you grow Yiyeging?
1. Soil
Yiyeging does not have many requirements for soil; generally, as long as it is sufficiently loose, fertile sandy soil, it can be planted, and it can have slight acidity. When making it into a potted plant, rotten leaves, peat and ordinary garden soil can be mixed together and used as the base soil for it.
2. Water
Yiyeging does not have high water requirements, but the soil in the pot needs to be kept sufficiently moist at all times. You can often sprinkle water on its leaves to increase humidity, which is beneficial for its buds to grow into new leaves. After autumn arrives, the amount of watering can be moderately reduced.
3. Light
Yiyeging can also grow vigorously in places without sun, but it needs to be sufficiently bright. You can use a shade to block sunlight for it. In the high-temperature weather of summer and autumn, do not let it be exposed directly to sunlight, otherwise yellow spots will appear on its leaves, and these cannot disappear. In that case, its growth rate will slow down, and it will become less attractive.
4. Temperature
Yiyeging likes warm areas and does not like cold. It is best to place it in an environment of 15-25°C. If it is winter, do not let it be below 5°C.
5. Fertilizing
Before Yiyeging is planted, rotten leaves can be used as base fertilizer. Use 2 kg of rotten leaves per sq m, spread them evenly in the soil, and then loosen the soil. In seasons other than winter, it grows relatively vigorously. Apply diluted fertilizer water to it once a week. If it is severe winter, stop adding fertilizer.
