Does dried chicken manure still need to be fermented?
When planting plants, everyone inevitably needs to use some fertilizer as nutritional support, and different fertilizers have different effects. Some people use animal manure. Many people want to know whether dried chicken manure can be used directly? Does sun-dried chicken manure still need fermentation?
1. Does sun-dried chicken manure still need fermentation
Sun-dried chicken manure still needs fermentation. Sun-drying chicken manure only evaporates most of the water, but it has not undergone harmless treatment, and the more stubborn harmful bacteria, pests and the like in it are still not completely killed. Using it directly as fertilizer will harm the plants.
2. The principle of chicken manure fermentation
The fermentation and decomposition process of chicken manure is completed through the decomposition process relying on the activity of biological bacteria. During this process, a large amount of heat is released, causing the temperature of the chicken manure mixture to rise rapidly, even reaching about 60°C, and it may even reach 70°C. In this temperature environment, after several days of fermentation treatment, various harmful fungi, pests and diseases in the chicken manure, and even weed seeds, are rendered harmless.
3. How to ferment sun-dried chicken manure
Spread the dry chicken manure on the ground in long strips, and water it according to 35% of the weight of the chicken manure. For each ton of chicken manure, sprinkle 5 kg of diluted fermentation agent and grass powder mixture. Then turn the compost two or three times, pile it into a rectangular material pile about 1 m high and 2 m wide, and punch holes in the top of the pile for ventilation. Then cover the fertilizer pile with straw, because making biological fertilizer by fermenting chicken manure is aerobic fermentation and does not need to be sealed. After piling and composting for 4~6 days, the pile temperature can rise to 50~65°C. Turn it once. If there is base fertilizer that has not been completely decomposed, bacterial liquid can be added to promote decomposition. Generally, after about 20 days, the chicken manure can be fully fermented and decomposed.
The question of fermenting sun-dried chicken manure is briefly introduced here, and I hope it is helpful to everyone.
