Benzyl-ethyl Herbicide Instructions and Correct Application Methods
This product is mainly used for weed control in paddy fields after rice transplanting. For early rice, application is generally 5-7 days after transplanting; for late rice, generally 4-6 days after transplanting. Mix this agent evenly into topdressing urea or sandy soil, stir thoroughly, and then broadcast. Keep a shallow water layer in the field for 5-7 days. So, what precautions should be taken when using benzyl-ethyl herbicide?
1. Ethyl-benzyl is only suitable for large-seedling transplanting fields. It must not be used in seedling nurseries, direct-seeded fields, seedling-throwing fields, small-seedling transplanting fields, or two-stage seedling-raising fields.
2. Fields treated with this type of product must not be drained toward nearby arrowhead, vegetable, or matgrass fields.
3. A water layer that submerges the rice seedling heart leaves for a long time, applying the pesticide when there is much dew on the leaf surface, and leaky fields all increase the chance of rice damage.
4. Small seedlings, weak seedlings, and replanted seedlings are easily damaged.
5. It is best to treat after the seedlings have revived and before barnyardgrass reaches the 1.5-leaf stage. Do not flood the field too early, and do not apply the pesticide too early or too late.
6. If there is a significant temperature drop or rise after application, there will be a temporary inhibitory effect on seedling growth. Strengthen field management; growth can recover 7-10 days after the temperature returns to normal, and generally there will be no reduction in yield.
Benzyl-ethyl herbicide is relatively safe for late rice in the Yangtze River Basin and for large-seedling transplanting fields in the southwestern provinces, but pesticides all have a certain degree of toxicity. Fellow farmers should still pay attention to wearing gloves and masks when using it.
