Nymphoides indica, also known as Indian floating heart, is a common aquatic flower in parks, with leaves resembling those of water lilies. Today we will introduce how to grow Nymphoides indica.

1. Pond

A water depth of about 40 cm is more suitable, while a water depth of about 10 cm is sufficient for pot cultivation. Use ordinary pond mud as the substrate, but it should not be too fertile, otherwise the branches and leaves will grow lushly while the flowers become sparse instead. If the leaves turn yellow, a small amount of compound fertilizer or fertilizer tablets can be buried in the pot. Maintain sufficient sunlight daily, and the pot must not lack water, otherwise it is prone to drying out.

2. Fertilizing

In order to promote more brilliant blooms in Nymphoides indica and improve its ornamental effect, during the plant's growing period, weeds and debris should be removed promptly, the water body should be kept clean, and 1-2 additional fertilizer applications should be given.

3. Pest and Disease Control

The main pest of Nymphoides indica is aphids. Currently, spraying with a 1000-fold dilution of 40% dimethoate emulsion can achieve a relatively good control effect. If pests are found on one Nymphoides indica plant, it should be dealt with promptly.

In summer and autumn, those small white flowers are scattered like stars, glistening silver, and when viewed from afar, the pastoral scenery is a feast for the eyes.
