What pesticide is effective for controlling plant bugs
The plant bug is one of the most common pests during the cotton growing period, mainly damaging tender leaves, young buds and young flower buds, causing reduced cotton yields. So what pesticide should be used for plant bugs?
1. What pesticide should be used for plant bugs?
Plant bugs can be controlled with pesticides such as cyhalothrin, cypermethrin·profenofos, malathion·phoxim, chlorpyrifos·phoxim and fipronil. When spraying, try to do it on a sunny day between 5 and 7 p.m., and spray the outer perimeter first, then work around in circles toward the center, to concentrate the elimination.
2. What control methods are there for plant bugs?
1. Agricultural measures
(1) Remove weeds. Clear weeds in winter to eliminate the overwintering eggs on them.
(2) Treatment method for multi-headed cotton: remove the excess branches at the bottom, leaving only the topmost branches, to promote rooting and growth.
2. Light trapping
During the adult peak period, turn on lights at night to trap and kill adults; a two-color lamp gives good results, and a large area gives good results.
3. Chemical control
(1) Treat the whole field, spray from the surroundings toward the center, and control all surrounding plots.
(2) Control timing: generally around May 10, in the evening or on cloudy days.
(3) Spray the weeds along the ridge edges at the same time; to control plant bugs, you can use plant bug induced resistance interferon, 20 ml per bucket of water, evenly sprayed.
