Bentazone is not harmful to soybeans. It is mainly used on crops such as rice, soybeans, peanuts, and wheat to control broadleaf weeds and sedge family weeds, but is ineffective against grass family weeds.

1. Applicable Crops

Soybeans, peanuts, wheat, rice, corn, broad beans, kidney beans, peas, sugarcane, onions, sweet potatoes, potatoes, tea gardens, flax, alfalfa, mint, Astragalus membranaceus, perilla, lawns, etc.

2. Target Weeds

Annual broadleaf weeds and sedge family weeds. Such as: Polygonum aviculare, Commelina communis, Arenaria serpyllifolia, Xanthium sibiricum, Kochia scoparia, Abutilon theophrasti, Lithospermum arvense, Galium aparine, Capsella bursa-pastoris, Descurainia sophia (flixweed), Portulaca oleracea, Cirsium setosum, Chenopodium album, Polygonum spp., Solanum nigrum, Stellaria media, Cyperus difformis, Cyperus iria, Cyperus glomeratus, Cyperus esculentus, Cyperus rotundus, Cyperus rotundus, etc. It is ineffective against grass family weeds.

3. Application Methods

1. Rice fields. Can be used in both water-direct-seeded fields and transplanted rice fields. 20-30 days after transplanting, or 30-40 days after sowing in direct-seeded fields, when weeds are at the 3-5 leaf stage, apply 64-96 grams of active ingredient per mu, diluted in 30 liters of water. Before application, drain the field water so that all weeds are exposed above the water surface. Choose a hot, windless, sunny day to spray, evenly spraying the solution onto the weed stems and leaves. 1-2 days after spraying, re-flood the field with water. It has a significant effect on controlling sedge family weeds and broadleaf weeds, but is ineffective against barnyardgrass.

2. Soybean fields. The suitable application period is when soybeans have 1-3 compound leaves and weeds are at the 3-4 leaf stage. Apply 48-96 grams of active ingredient per mu, diluted in 30-40 kg of water. Use a sprayer to spray for stem and leaf treatment, which can control broadleaf weeds such as Xanthium sibiricum, Amaranthus spp., Polygonum spp., Salsola collina, Galium aparine, and Vicia spp. in soybean fields, as well as weeds such as Cyperus iria. It is ineffective against barnyardgrass.

3. Wheat fields. At the two-leaf-one-heart to three-leaf stage of wheat, when weeds are at the cotyledon to two-whorl leaf stage, apply 48-96 grams of active ingredient per mu, diluted in 30-40 kg of water, and spray on stems and leaves to control broadleaf weeds such as Galium aparine and Lithospermum arvense in wheat fields.

4. Peanut fields. To control broadleaf weeds and sedges such as Xanthium sibiricum, Polygonum spp., Portulaca oleracea, and Cyperus esculentus in peanut fields, at the 2-5 leaf stage of peanuts, apply 133-200 milliliters of liquid formulation per mu (64-96 grams of active ingredient), diluted in 30 liters of water for stem and leaf treatment.

Spraying in hot, sunny weather is conducive to the efficacy of the herbicide. If applied on cloudy or rainy days, the effect may be relatively low. When spraying, the weed stems and leaves should also be thoroughly wetted.
