Pea shoots can be said to be quite common in daily life, not only because they look very appetizing, but also because they contain a fair amount of nutrients when eaten. Many people may not know what pea shoots are, but they are actually the dragon beard vegetable (pea shoots) that we see in our daily lives. So what is the cultivation technique for Sichuan pea shoots?

1. At present, most pea varieties can be used to produce pea shoots, with green peas, Shanxi small grey peas and other varieties being used more often;

2. Seeds used for producing pea shoots require a relatively thick seed coat, large round grains, a smooth surface, relatively high germination rate, purity and cleanliness, strong disease resistance and high yield;

3. Fine land preparation. Pea root systems are relatively weak, so it is advisable to choose loam soil that is convenient for drainage and irrigation and at least moderately fertile. During land preparation, plough deeply and harrow finely as appropriate to keep the soil loose, so as to facilitate uniform emergence, robust seedling growth, better promotion of well-developed root systems and enhanced stress resistance;

4. Open beds at a width of 2 m and prepare drainage ditches well;

5. Apply sufficient base fertilizer during land preparation, applying 1000-1500 kg of organic fertilizer such as compost residue per mu, plus 20-25 kg of superphosphate, 8-10 kg of potassium sulfate or 50-60 kg of plant ash, and about 15 loads of water-diluted manure.
