Dichlorvos has been produced for many years, and in today's increasingly fierce pesticide market competition, dichlorvos still retains its appeal. So what are the main uses of dichlorvos?

It is effective against pests with chewing mouthparts and piercing-sucking mouthparts. It can be used on vegetables, fruit trees and a variety of farmland crops. It is suitable for pest control on many plants such as wheat, rice, cotton, green vegetables, mulberry and apple, and can also be used for the control of warehouse and sanitary pests.

Dichlorvos, also known as DDVP, with the scientific name O,O-dimethyl-O-(2,2-dichlorovinyl) phosphate, is a type of organophosphorus insecticide, with the molecular formula C4H7Cl2O4P. An organophosphorus insecticide, all industrial products are colorless to light brown liquids; the pure product has a boiling point of 74°C (at 133.322Pa), is highly volatile, has a solubility in water of 1% at room temperature, a solubility in kerosene of 2%-3%, is soluble in organic solvents, readily hydrolyzes, and decomposes faster when exposed to alkali. It is highly toxic; acute toxicity LD50 values: for rats, 56-80mg/kg orally and 75-210mg/kg dermally.

On October 27, 2017, according to the preliminary compilation reference of the list of carcinogens published by the International Agency for Research on Cancer of the World Health Organization, dichlorvos is on the Group 2B carcinogen list
