What are the mixing taboos for Nativo? You must figure it out clearly before use.
Nativo is a low-toxicity systemic fungicide, composed of the new strobilurin fungicide trifloxystrobin and the systemic triazole fungicide tebuconazole, providing both protective and curative action. This product has relatively high fungicidal activity, strong systemic properties, and a relatively long residual effect. It is used on a variety of crops to control major fungal diseases, with obvious control efficacy against the main diseases of cucumber, tomato, Chinese cabbage and rice.
Nativo can be mixed with ordinary pesticides, but it cannot be mixed with strongly alkaline pesticides, and it should not be mixed with too many types of pesticides.
Pesticide mixing must follow the following principles:
1. When mixing pesticides, their active ingredients should generally not undergo chemical changes. First, pesticides that react chemically after mixing and cause crop phytotoxicity cannot be mixed: for example, Bordeaux mixture and lime sulfur cannot be mixed. Lime sulfur also cannot be mixed with resin soap, organic mercury pesticides, heavy metal pesticides, etc. Second, acidic and alkaline pesticides cannot be mixed: commonly used pesticides are generally divided into 3 categories - acidic, alkaline and neutral - and acidic and alkaline pesticides cannot be mixed. Third, pesticides with structures such as esters and amides should not be mixed with alkaline pesticides, to avoid hydrolysis of the ester or amide. Fourth, some sulfur-containing fungicides such as zineb and thiram should not be mixed with insecticides such as trichlorfon and monocrotophos. Fifth, certain ionic pesticides, especially herbicides such as difenzoquat, MCPA-amine salt and glyphosate, may also react when mixed and reduce efficacy.
2. The pharmacological properties of the formulation must not be destroyed. When two emulsifiable concentrates are mixed, they are required to still have good emulsifying, dispersing and wetting properties. When two wettable powders are mixed, they are required to still have good suspensibility, wetting and spreading performance. This is not only a condition for exerting efficacy, but can also prevent failure, reduced efficacy or phytotoxicity caused by changes in physical properties.
3. It must be ensured that no side effects such as phytotoxicity occur after mixing. For example, organophosphorus insecticides cannot be mixed with propanil, as mixing will cause phytotoxicity to crops.
4. The safety after mixing must be guaranteed. After pesticides are mixed, it must be ensured that toxicity is not increased, and that they are absolutely safe for humans and livestock.
5. Pesticide mixing must be reasonable. First, the pairing between varieties must be reasonable. For example, to control grass weeds in soybean fields, sethoxydim or haloxyfop alone can achieve control. If the two are mixed, although it is feasible in terms of formulation stability, it cannot increase efficacy. Second, the cost must be reasonable. Mixing is generally somewhat lower in cost than single use. For example, mixing a relatively expensive new systemic fungicide with a relatively cheap protective fungicide variety, or mixing relatively expensive pyrethroid pesticides with organophosphorus insecticides, etc.
6. The scope of use of the mixed formulation must be made clear. It must be made clear that after pesticides are mixed, the use scopes of the various active ingredients they contain, as single agents, are both related and distinct. Before mixing pesticides, read the label carefully, and conduct a mixability test before mixing. Pesticide varieties to be mixed are required to have different modes of action and to concurrently control different targets, so as to achieve the purpose of expanding the control spectrum and enhancing control efficacy after mixing. After the mixture is used, the pesticide residue level in agricultural by-products should also be lower than that of the single-agent formulations. Only when a mixed pesticide formulation has its own characteristics in terms of scope of use and efficacy is the mixing meaningful.
