Marsh dewflower has stems similar to bamboo, and its leaves resemble bamboo leaves even more, but as a weed it often grows unchecked in fields and affects crops. So what herbicide can be used to kill it?

What herbicide is used for marsh dewflower?

Herbicides such as glyphosate, MCPA, bispyribac-sodium, glufosinate, agricultural MCPA, and fluroxypyr-meptyl can be used to remove marsh dewflower. Also, when spraying, be sure to wait until the weather is sunny and the temperature rises, as the effect will be better. The key is also to spray the weeds thoroughly. If the weeds are too large or too old, the dosage of the spray solution needs to be increased.

How is marsh dewflower controlled?

1. During the rice tillering stage, you can use starane or MCPA spray to control marsh dewflower in the field. Use 50 milliliters of starane or 350 milliliters of MCPA per mu, add 40 kilograms of water, and spray. The average control effect can reach more than 85%.

2. Applying agricultural MCPA also has a good effect on controlling marsh dewflower. Generally, at the stage when marsh dewflower has 1-2 branches, use 15-30 milliliters of 10% agricultural MCPA per mu plus 45 kilograms of water, drain the field water, and then spray. After application, irrigate with shallow water 24-48 hours later and keep the water for 5-7 days. Five days after application, the heart leaves of marsh dewflower begin to turn yellow, after which the main stem stops growing, the stem nodes no longer branch, the leaves gradually wither and turn yellow, and the stems die. Surviving plants cannot flower or set seed.

3. In wheat fields where marsh dewflower occurs heavily, 4-5 days before plowing and planting rice after the wheat harvest, choose a sunny day and use 500 milliliters of 10% glyphosate or 150 milliliters of 25% gramoxone per mu, add 100 grams of washing powder, add 40 kilograms of water, and spray. The control effect can reach more than 95%, and it can prevent marsh dewflower in wheat fields from transferring into rice fields and causing harm.
