When is the right time to apply the three rounds of medicine for peanuts?
Peanuts can be used for oil pressing and can also be eaten. They are a crop with many uses and are also very rich in nutrients. So when should the three rounds of medicine for peanuts be applied when growing them?
1. Basic introduction to peanuts
Peanuts are leguminous plants and are grown all over China, mainly distributed in Liaoning, Shandong, Hebei, Henan, Jiangsu, Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, Sichuan, Jilin and other provinces (regions). They are an annual herbaceous plant.
Peanuts are suitable for planting in sandy soil areas with a warm climate, a relatively long growing season and moderate rainfall. If you want to grow peanuts, you need to provide suitable growing conditions and also choose suitable peanut varieties according to local conditions.
2. When to apply the three rounds of medicine for peanuts
The first round of medicine is applied from the seedling stage to the initial flowering stage of peanuts; the second round is applied from the full flowering stage to the pod-setting stage; the third round is applied during the pod-filling stage, usually 20-30 days before peanut harvest.
When three rounds of medicine are applied to peanuts, each round has a different effect:
1. The effect of the first round of medicine is to prevent and control peanut seedling death and root rot, improve peanut disease resistance, and enhance the ability to resist continuous cropping; promote the growth and development of root nodules and increase the total amount of rhizobia; increase the number of fibrous roots.
2. The effect of the second round of medicine is to control excessive growth, intelligently regulate nutrient distribution, prevent peanuts from growing too vigorously, and enhance photosynthesis; it can also increase the pod-setting rate and prevent and control diseases such as leaf spot, southern blight and rust.
3. The effect of the third round of medicine is to inhibit diseases such as leaf spot and rust and prevent premature aging and leaf drop. It increases chlorophyll content, extends the duration of functional leaves, keeps branches and leaves green, and makes the plant robust; it enables nutrients to be quickly transported to the roots and pods, enhances the toughness of the flower needles, accelerates the expansion of underground fruits, makes the seeds plump, and greatly increases yield.
After peanuts are given the three rounds of medicine at the appropriate times, they can generally grow normally. With reasonable fertilization and watering, the quality of the peanuts at harvest will be relatively good.
