1. What is quizalofop-p-ethyl?

Quizalofop-p-ethyl is a chemical agent and belongs to low-toxicity herbicides. Its appearance is a pale yellow uniform crystal. The main formulations are 5% quizalofop-p-ethyl emulsifiable concentrate (containing 50 grams of active ingredient per liter), 10.8% quizalofop-p-ethyl emulsifiable concentrate (containing 108 grams of active ingredient per liter), etc.

The mechanism of action and weed-killing spectrum of quizalofop-p-ethyl are similar to those of haloxyfop. It is absorbed through the stems and leaves of weeds, then conducts upward and downward in both directions within the plant, accumulates at the tips and intercalary meristems, inhibits fatty acid synthesis in cells, and causes the weeds to die.

Quizalofop-p-ethyl is a highly selective new type of post-emergence stem and leaf treatment agent for dry fields. It has relatively high selectivity between grass weeds and dicotyledonous crops, and has good control efficacy against grass weeds in fields.

Compared with other herbicides, quizalofop-p-ethyl acts faster, has more stable efficacy, and is less likely to be affected by environmental conditions such as rain, temperature and humidity.

2. Application ranges of quizalofop-p-ethyl

Quizalofop-p-ethyl can be used on soybean, sugar beet, potato, cotton, peanut, fruit trees and many other plants. It is a general-purpose herbicide and can control grass weeds in broadleaf crop fields.

For control at the 3-5 leaf stage of grass weeds, to control annual grass weeds use 50-70 ml of 5% quizalofop-p-ethyl emulsifiable concentrate per mu. (Dilute with 30-40 kg of water and apply as a uniform stem and leaf spray treatment.) When soil moisture and air humidity are relatively high, it is beneficial for the absorption and conduction of quizalofop-p-ethyl by weeds.
