How to grow Cordyceps flowers? You'll get it at a glance with this detailed planting method
Cordyceps flower is the fruiting body of Cordyceps, belonging to a type of fungus, very similar to common edible mushrooms such as shiitake and oyster mushrooms, so how do you grow Cordyceps flowers?
1. Basic introduction to Cordyceps flowers
Cordyceps flower is a medicinal fungus formed by the combination of insect and fungus, belonging to the family Clavicipitaceae, genus Cordyceps, mainly growing in the northern regions of our country. Cordyceps not only contains rich protein and amino acids, but also contains more than 30 kinds of trace elements needed by the human body, making it a top-grade tonic.
Cordyceps flower culture media are divided into wheat, rice, and silkworm pupae. Currently on the market, the main type is Cordyceps flower grown on wheat culture medium.
2. How do you grow Cordyceps flowers?
1. Isolating the strain
Use wild fungi for tissue isolation, and culture a purified stock culture.
After artificial purification, it is then expanded and cultured to produce strains for large-scale cultivation.
2. Cultivation
Prepare the culture medium, inoculate the strain onto the culture medium, and then place it in a cultivation room for culturing.
In the laboratory, potato, glucose, agar, peptone, inorganic salts, etc. are usually used to make the culture medium. In large-scale cultivation bases, rice, wheat, corn, as well as beans, eggs and dairy, etc. are used in formula proportions to make the culture medium, and after being dispensed into containers (bottles), they need to be sterilized.
Inoculation needs to be carried out under sterile conditions; otherwise, the strain and culture medium may be contaminated and foreign bacteria may be introduced.
3. Other management
Maintain suitable temperature and humidity, and after 2-3 months of cultivation, it can be harvested.
After inoculation, move it into the cultivation room and place it on shelves for cultivation. The optimum growth temperature for the mycelium is 15 to 25°C, and the optimum growth temperature for the stroma is 18 to 22°C. The cultivation room needs to maintain a certain temperature, humidity, and clean air.
