1. Basic introduction to cordyceps ginseng

Cordyceps ginseng is a plant in the Lamiaceae family and the Stachys genus. It is also called ganlu'er, pagoda vegetable, ground silkworm, luoshi vegetable, diguliu, cockscomb stone silkworm, and so on. It is a fleshy ring-shaped ginseng with an underground stem 5—6 cm long. It is widely distributed across the country and likes a warm, humid environment. It is cold-tolerant, moisture-tolerant, and heat-tolerant, and is suitable for planting in sunny, moist soil with a deep soil layer. It can also be interplanted between rows of fruit trees.

2. Planting methods for cordyceps ginseng

1. Soil

It is necessary to choose soil with a relatively thick, loose soil layer for planting. Before planting, the land also needs to be prepared and deeply plowed.

During deep plowing, some organic fertilizer can be used together with it, and the plot also needs to be leveled in a timely manner, after which furrowing is carried out.

2. Seed soaking

To prevent the seeds from carrying pests and diseases, the seeds need to be soaked before planting.

For seed soaking, chlorothalonil is generally used. The best time to sow is in February each year. All the seeds can be poured into the holes, and then the distance between each hole should be kept at the optimal position. After the seeds are planted, covering can begin, and then it is enough to wait for the seedlings to sprout.

3. Field planting

After cordyceps ginseng seedlings grow to a certain extent, they can be transplanted. After transplanting is completed, water and fertilize reasonably.

The seedlings can first be given farmyard manure once. The farmyard manure is mainly some rotted fertilizer, and it can also be diluted with water, after which reasonable irrigation is enough.
