Recently, the price of ginger has been relatively high, and in a small number of regions, ginger prices have risen slightly. Recently, the price of ginger has ranged from 7-10 yuan per jin, and prices may differ in different regions.

Ginger is an essential food in the kitchen, and almost every household keeps some ginger as a seasoning. However, the planting area for ginger is not very large, while demand is relatively high, and this year the situation of “Jiang Ni Jun” has appeared.

Looking at this year's ginger market, from the beginning of the year to now, it has been relatively stable, and has even risen slightly, especially in May, when the increase was relatively large and prices fluctuated almost every day. In the past, ginger price increases were jointly controlled by storage merchants and traders, but this year's ginger market has shown a strange side: ginger farmers generally are reluctant to sell, forcing stockpilers to raise their purchase prices, but even so, only a small number of farmers sold. In the main producing areas, groups of vendors come almost every day, yet these vendors are struggling over supply.

This year, ginger prices have been continuously rising. In fact, the main reason is that the growing inventory is too small, with a trend toward supply falling short of demand. Market demand for ginger has not decreased but increased, and many ginger crops that came onto the market last year spoiled because of weather conditions, causing inventory to drop by 40%, with high-quality ginger becoming even scarcer.

The reduction in ginger inventory has driven market price trends since the beginning of this year. Although this year's ginger has already come onto the market, at the beginning of this year the ginger-producing areas were affected by a cold snap, and ginger output also decreased. Many ginger farmers have adopted a reluctant-to-sell attitude, and many have chosen to produce and sell on their own, selling only small quantities, so it is difficult for vendors to purchase too much ginger from them.

At present, many ginger farmers on the market have not sold their ginger and are waiting to see whether prices rise, hoping to sell for more money. This year, ginger market inventory is not high, and before next season's ginger comes onto the market, ginger prices may not fall and may even continue to rise.

In the future, ginger prices may continue to rise, mainly because the planting area has decreased and because of the impact of weather. As for how high ginger prices will rise and when they will fall back, it is not very clear, and it will still need to be determined according to the actual market situation.
