Green pepper is a relatively common vegetable on the dining table and can be used very well for seasoning. Therefore, many people grow green peppers. So how do you plant green pepper seeds?

1. First, select green pepper seeds. You can buy high-quality green pepper seeds on the market, or you can use large green peppers left from growing green peppers last year as seeds, (the effective period of green pepper seeds is 2 years; if more than 2 years, the germination rate is low, and it is not recommended to plant them again).

2. After selecting the seeds, we can carry out germination treatment on the seeds. Germination can increase the germination rate of the seeds and can also shorten the time for the seeds to germinate. First soak the seeds in water for 6-8 hours so that the seeds fully absorb water.

Then spread paper towels (gauze is also acceptable) flat in a container, wet the paper towels with water, and place the soaked seeds evenly in the container.

3. You can wrap a layer of plastic film around the outside of the container. This can simulate the effect of a greenhouse, and seeds will germinate more easily in a greenhouse. Every day, pay attention to observing the water inside; if it is too dry, the seeds will stop developing, and if it is too wet, the seeds are easily damaged by soaking. It is enough to keep the paper towels inside moist. (Many seeds can use this germination method).

4. The suitable temperature for green pepper germination is 25~30°C. If the temperature exceeds 35°C or is below 10°C, germination will be poor or will not occur. The best planting time is around April each year. If the indoor temperature is slightly low, you can place the germination container on a router (a router generates heat and will have a certain temperature).

5. Wait patiently for a period of time. At around 20 degrees, it takes 10-15 days to sprout; at around 25 degrees, it will sprout in 7-10 days.

6. After sprouting, you can plant the seeds evenly in the soil, burying them 3-5CM below the soil surface, and water them irregularly to keep the soil moist. After 3-5 days, the seeds will all have sprouted. Wait patiently for the green pepper sprouts to grow.

7. After true leaves grow out, you can transplant the plants. Separate each pepper seedling by a certain distance, and regularly fertilize and water the green peppers to promote rapid growth and flowering.

Growing green peppers requires careful management so that a relatively high yield can be achieved. Later-stage management is also very necessary.
