We all know that the demand for honey in our country's market is very large, and the honey market is rather chaotic. In some places it is very difficult to buy pure honey on the market, so the prospects for keeping bees in our country are very good.

Points to note in summer bee colony management for beekeeping 1. Provide good shade, ventilation and water supply. Beehives should be placed in shaded spots with a water source nearby, or a shade awning should be set up; place drinking fountains near the entrance of the hive. At the hot midday, be careful to spray an appropriate amount of water on the hives and the site to increase humidity and lower the temperature inside the hive. Widen the bee space and the hive entrance to strengthen ventilation and heat dissipation. At the same time, do a good job of rain protection. 2. Manage the honey-gathering colonies well. The management of strong colonies during the main honey flow period is very important. During this period, to encourage the bees to gather honey, the honeycomb must be continuously expanded, and the queen must not be restricted from laying eggs. Add supers and empty combs at the right time so that the colony has greater room to develop and has enough honey and egg-laying comb space, so that it can both gather a large amount of honey and produce royal jelly while also developing a certain colony strength.

Four points to note in bee keeping 1. Note the elimination of swarming fever: if management is poor during this period, swarming is extremely likely to occur. Inspect the honeycomb frequently; if the queen's abdomen shrinks or she stops laying eggs, this is a sign of swarming, and measures should be taken in time to eliminate swarming, so as to avoid weakening the colony strength and affecting honey gathering. 2. Note the prevention of robbing bees: when taking honey and feeding bees, the honey liquid must not be spilled outside the hive; if it is spilled outside, it must be thoroughly cleaned up. The hive entrance must not be too large, and the beehive must be tight and not damaged. Honey combs, beeswax, honey extractors and other tools that easily attract robbing bees must be stored well. 3. Note the elimination of pests: mainly wax moths, ants, hornets and other insects, as well as birds, rodents, toads and so on. Pay attention to the hygiene of the colony and clean the beehives frequently. 4. Note diseases: observe the bees' movements frequently, and if anything abnormal is found, analyze it immediately and take preventive and control measures. You should have some understanding of the flowering periods of the main nectar sources within 5 km around, especially the flowering periods of toxic plants such as those providing nectar and pollen. For the major plants of the main honey flow period, keep timely track of their pesticide control situation and avoid the pesticide application period, so as to prevent pesticide poisoning.

Prospects for bee keeping

1. Honey: it is a natural nourishing food rich in nutrients and also one of the most commonly used tonics. According to analysis, it contains various inorganic salts and vitamins close to the concentration in human blood serum, as well as iron, calcium, copper, manganese, potassium, phosphorus and many other organic acids and trace elements beneficial to human health. It is a tonic commonly used by people and has the laudatory name of "milk of the elderly". Royal jelly is even more of a high-grade nutritional product; it can not only strengthen the physique and prolong life, but also treat chronic diseases such as neurasthenia, anemia and gastric ulcers. Bee pollen is hailed by people as a "miniature nutrition bank"; after drying, its color varies from light to dark, and it can be eaten directly or soaked in cold water as a drink.

2. Beeswax and propolis: both are raw materials for light industry. Propolis is also called "purple gold", and its output worldwide is even less than that of gold.

3. Bee venom: it has therapeutic effects on rheumatism, neuritis and so on. Use tweezers to hold a worker bee and use its tail stinger to prick the patient's acupoints, letting the bee venom enter the body to achieve a certain therapeutic effect.

Bee keeping equipment

1. Beehive: the beehive, which is what we often call the hive, is the place where bees rest, reproduce and store food. The beehive consists of several parts, including the outer cover, straw curtain, cover cloth, inner cover, combs, partition board and queen excluder. On both sides of the comb there are several thousand neatly arranged, interlocking hexagonal cells.

2. Comb: the comb is fixed on a wooden frame and is called one frame of comb. According to the amount of honey, pollen and larvae on the comb, they are called honey comb, pollen comb and brood comb respectively. According to the age of the brood, the brood comb is further divided into: egg comb, larva comb, sealed brood comb and empty comb. A beehive holding 10 frames of comb is the most widely used standard beehive. The hive can be expanded in time by adding supers.

3. Bee space: the distance between the combs is called the bee space.

4. Queen excluder: the queen excluder is used to separate the brood-rearing area from the honey-storage area, which helps the honey mature and helps honey gathering, and improves production efficiency.

In daily life, honey has very many uses; in particular, drinking honey dissolved in water is a health-preserving choice for many people now, so the demand market for honey is beyond doubt. Therefore, when keeping bees, it is very necessary for keepers to master certain bee keeping techniques.
