1. Reasonable selection of medication: To ensure that deworming achieves the ideal effect, choosing deworming drugs that are cheap, broad-spectrum, highly effective, and safe is key. Note that medication must not be excessive or insufficient. Commonly used deworming drugs include: ivermectin, berenil, 1% trichlorfon solution, etc.

2. The timing must be accurate: The deworming time should be determined according to the type of parasite, its development, and the season. Under normal circumstances, the first deworming of meat donkeys is best carried out at 45-60 days of age (when the meat donkey weighs about 30 kg), as the effect is relatively good. This can achieve multiple results at once and expel several kinds of parasites together. After the first medication, deworm again once after an interval of 60-90 days. Deworming should preferably be carried out in the evening. 3. The method must be appropriate: To facilitate the absorption of the deworming drug, before administering the deworming medication, stop feeding the meat donkey for one meal. At 6-8 p.m., mix the drug evenly with a small amount of concentrate and let the meat donkey finish it in one feeding. If the meat donkey does not eat it, a small amount of salt water or glucose can be added to the feed. For group-raised meat donkeys, the dosage should first be calculated, the drug crushed, and evenly mixed into the feed. The deworming period is generally 6 days, and they should be kept and fed in a fixed location so that the site can be cleaned and disinfected. 4. Nursing must be started early: After administration, carefully observe the meat donkey's reaction to the drug. If symptoms such as vomiting or diarrhea appear, immediately drive the meat donkey out of the pen and let it move freely to alleviate the poisoning symptoms. For severe cases, the meat donkey can be given boiled mung bean soup cooked until six-tenths done. For meat donkeys with diarrhea, take 50 grams of charcoal or pot-bottom soot, mix it into the feed, and administer it for 2-3 consecutive days. 5. Hygiene must be thorough: Keeping the meat donkey shed clean and hygienic after administration is crucial to improving the deworming effect. After deworming their meat donkeys, many meat donkey farmers often neglect cleaning and disinfecting the pens and manure and urine, with the result that the expelled parasites and parasite eggs are eaten by the meat donkeys again, leading to reinfection. Therefore, after deworming, the feces should be removed promptly and piled up centrally for fermentation, burning, or deep burial; the floor, walls, and feed troughs should be disinfected with 5% limewater to prevent reinfection by parasites.
