1. One-time weaning method: On the weaning date, forcibly separate the mastiff pups from the female mastiff. Its advantages are a short weaning time and early separation into litters; its disadvantage is that because weaning is sudden, both food and environment suddenly change, which can easily cause indigestion in the mastiff pups, and both the adult and the mastiff pups may become nervous; a female mastiff with sufficient milk may also develop mastitis.
