How to defend against external enemies and pests in ground beetle (Eupolyphaga sinensis) farming?

There are many enemies and pests of the ground beetle, such as rats, ants, flour mites, spiders, chickens, ducks, cats, etc. Rat control should be paid attention to at all times; they not only eat the ground beetles but also carry them away, causing great losses. Use rat poison or keep cats, but when using poison, strictly guard against the ground beetles eating it by mistake.

Although ants are small, they should not be underestimated; their colonies are very large and can also cause great harm. Usually pay attention to the sealing of the house. Once ants appear, use the latest chlordane oil to drive them away, or use bones, fried dough sticks, meat scraps, etc. as bait to kill them.

Flour mites are mainly produced by improper feeding at ordinary times, so feed in appropriate amounts when feeding; it is best not to have leftover food. When the temperature is high, leftover food should be picked out in time. Animal feed should be fed cooked. You can also spray with Fengmanling, used for treating bee mites, which has a certain killing effect. Or place wet newspaper dipped in dishwashing water, bones, fish, fried dough sticks, etc. on the surface of the soil as bait, attracting once every 1 to 2 hours until all are attracted. Because flour mites are on the soil surface, you can also replace the surface layer of soil.

Spiders are not very harmful to ground beetles, but when spiders appear they should also be eliminated at any time, otherwise the ground beetles may be hung and eaten.

As long as sealing measures for the house are strengthened for animals such as chickens, ducks, and cats and they are not allowed to enter, there is no harm.
