In order to fully tap the production potential of the water body, adult fish farming mostly adopts polyculture, dense stocking and rotational culture. In order to fully tap the production potential of the water body, adult fish farming mostly adopts polyculture, dense stocking and rotational culture. If carp is polycultured in the same pond with black carp, because feed is easy to obtain, it grows both fast and well. The commonly used ratio is for every 1 kg of black carp fingerlings stocked, stock 2~4 carp with a total length of about 13 cm. If polycultured in the same pond with grass carp, for every 1 kg of grass carp fingerlings stocked, only one carp weighing 50~100 g is added. In intensive fish ponds with polyculture and dense stocking, to give the fish sufficient feed and fast growth, fertilizer must be applied to grow natural feed and artificial feed must be given.

1. The general principle of fertilizing is to make the pond water quality reach and maintain “fertile, lively, tender and refreshing”.

2. The general principle of feeding is “even, sufficient, good”. If only concentrated feed is given, the daily feeding amount can be calculated as 1~5% of the fish's incremental body weight.

3. Daily management should achieve the “six fours”:

1. Four earlies: early clearing and tidying of the fish pond, early stocking of fingerlings, early feeding to start feeding, and early assigning a dedicated person to manage the pond.

2. Four looks: look at the fish's activity, look at changes in water quality, look at the weather conditions, look at the current season.

3. Four diligences: diligently patrol the pond and observe, diligently check the fish's growth and health, diligently keep the fish pond clean and prevent diseases, diligently study.

4. Four preventions: prevent floating head and pond turnover, prevent and treat fish diseases, prevent disasters, prevent theft.

5. Four fixeds: fixed quality, fixed quantity, fixed time and fixed location for feeding.

6. Four disinfections: disinfection of fingerlings, disinfection of feed, disinfection of tools, and regular disinfection of the feeding ground.
