How to reduce fat and increase weight in broiler chickens? Introduction to practical farming methods

The broiler chicken farming industry, with its inherent advantages of high efficiency and low cost, has become the most highly industrialized sector in China's livestock industry. China's total chicken meat output increased from 1.358 million tons in 1984 to 11.44 million tons in 2009, and continues to grow at a rate of 5%-10% per year.

The broiler chicken farming industry, with its inherent advantages of high efficiency and low cost, has become the most highly industrialized sector in China's livestock industry. China's total chicken meat output increased from 1.358 million tons in 1984 to 11.44 million tons in 2009, and continues to grow at a rate of 5%—10% per year. Because its quality is widely recognized, domestically produced chicken is not only exported to Japan, South Korea and other countries, but multinational restaurant chains like KFC, which have always had high food safety requirements, basically also purchase domestically produced chicken. Precisely because the market demand for broiler chickens is large, the requirements for broiler chicken quality are also high. So to raise high-quality broiler chickens, the two aspects of weight gain and fat reduction are very important. Below we introduce these two aspects.

Broiler chicken fat reduction method:

The cholesterol content of poultry products is generally relatively high, which can easily lead to excessive cholesterol intake by consumers and affect their plasma cholesterol concentration, which is not conducive for patients with hyperlipidemia, hypercholesterolemia and cardiovascular disease to control their condition. Fat-reducing additives can be used to reduce the cholesterol content in chicken meat products.

Tests have shown that in the diet of 4-week-old commercial Avian broiler chicks, adding 0.03%, 0.06% and 0.1% fat-reducing additive significantly reduced the total plasma cholesterol level of the broiler chicks after three weeks, and the total cholesterol and total triglyceride content in the chicken meat decreased by 38% and 48%, but the growth rate of the chickens was not affected, feed utilization increased by 5%-7%, and protein utilization could also be improved.

The fat-reducing additive is a powder, half of which is used for broiler chickens in the middle and late growth stages (after 3 weeks of age). It can be mixed directly into the feed together with vitamins and additive premix feed, and fed directly as powder feed or made into pellet feed. The recommended dosage in broiler chicken feed is 0.05%.

The fat-reducing principle of the fat-reducing additive is to inhibit the liver from synthesizing plasma lipoproteins and enhance the metabolism of lipoproteins in the liver, thereby reducing the total cholesterol and triglyceride content in the blood and further reducing the deposition of cholesterol in the muscles of broiler chickens.

Broiler chicken weight gain methods:

Method of adding soybean oil: 7 days before selling the broiler chickens, add a small amount of raw soybean oil to the chicken feed, which can make the broiler chickens fat and the meat tender.

Method of adding fattening chicken powder: prepare fattening chicken powder according to the dosage of 20% dried ginger powder, 9% licorice powder, 7% fennel powder, 50% cinnamon, 6% cooked soybean powder and 8% ferric sulfate. Give each chicken 0.5-1 g each time, mix with water into the feed, and feed once every 2 days.

Method of adding methionine: add 4 g of methionine and a small amount of vitamins to every 5 kg of chicken feed to feed the chickens, and weight gain is relatively fast.

Method of feeding cooked cornmeal: feed 1 chicken 200 g of cooked cornmeal per day, manually added in 3 feedings in the morning, noon and afternoon. Adding some green vegetable leaves appropriately gives better results.

Method of feeding sterile maggots: use distillers' grains as raw material to produce 500 g of fresh maggots to feed broiler chickens, which can increase weight by 0.9-1 kg.

Method of feeding multienzyme tablets: 3 days after the chicks start eating, add 0.04% multienzyme tablets (grind finely and mix evenly) to the daily food, and feed continuously for two weeks.

Method of feeding mugwort powder: add 2% mugwort powder to the broiler chicken diet, and daily weight gain can increase by 10%-20%.

Method of feeding earthworms: the dry matter of earthworms contains as much as 70% protein. The amount of earthworms added is ..5% of the daily diet. Earthworms can be processed into powder, and when feeding, just mix the earthworm powder evenly with the feed.
