With the continuous development of our country's breeding industry in recent years, goose farming is fairly common in rural breeding in our country, and goose farming has low investment cost and high profit return, so many investors now have their eyes on the market prospects of goose farming.

Methods for preventing diarrhea in farmed geese

First, reduce the amount of bran added to the feed; during the growing period, bran should preferably not exceed 5 jin, and when adding stone powder or shell, it must be transitioned slowly and must not be added all at once.

Second, do a good job of disease prevention and environmental hygiene, strengthen ventilation, reduce the incidence of disease, and prevent intestinal diseases.

Third, when disease occurs in the goose flock, control it promptly and shorten the treatment time to prevent triggering E. coli and intestinal diseases.

Fourth, improve the quality of feed such as corn, soybean meal, fish meal, and cottonseed meal to reduce chronic poisoning caused by feed quality.

Fifth, add microecological preparations over the long term to adjust the balance of intestinal flora, effectively improve feed conversion rate and digestibility, and reduce the occurrence of intestinal diseases.

Scope of use of simple goose-farming greenhouses

1. Investors with relatively tight funds but a small scale, because greenhouses are relatively cheap to build.

2. Those whose breeding site is not fixed and who may change sites in one or two years, such as free-range farming and so on! This type of gosling shed can also use a greenhouse, since it is convenient to move after all.

Material selection for simple goose-farming greenhouses

1. Greenhouse frame: The greenhouse frame is generally made of steel structure, which should be available locally, and is the same as the structure of vegetable greenhouses; there are requirements for height, at least enough for people to enter and exit normally for management.

2. Sealing materials: such as plastic film (this is used relatively often), straw curtains (for insulation), film-pressing wire (for reinforcing the plastic film and straw curtains), load-bearing wood or posts inside the greenhouse, wood or moso bamboo (for building perches).

Can goose farming make money

1. Domestic market: At present, the market demand for geese in our country is in a state of supply falling short of demand. Our country's annual demand for geese is 900 million to 1 billion birds, and although the current breeding volume is developing quickly, it is only about 700 million birds. It is predicted that Guangzhou alone needs as many as 75 million geese annually, Shanghai needs about 25 million geese annually, and Hong Kong, China needs 100,000 geese every day. In recent years, many hotels and restaurants in large and medium-sized cities across the country offer goose meat, and in Guangzhou there are roast goose shops on almost every street. Therefore, the goose market not only has great development potential, but also very broad prospects.

2. International market: On the international market, goose products are in short supply. Some economically developed countries believe that goose meat has lower fat and cholesterol content than both chicken and duck, and regard it as a delicacy and health product. In France, the price of goose meat is 3 times that of chicken meat, and in some Eastern European countries the price of goose meat is 2.5 times that of broiler chicken. France has a well-known saying, “the poor eat chicken, the rich eat goose.” Other goose products are even more expensive internationally, such as goose fatty liver at 35,000 to 45,000 USD per ton, down and feathers at 80,000 to 85,000 USD per ton, and goose breast muscle at 3,500 USD; the whole world attaches importance to goose farming.

In the process of goose farming, the most important thing is disease prevention, so controlling the occurrence of goose diseases is equivalent to being half successful. Therefore, in the breeding process, it is very necessary to master the symptoms and treatment methods of some common goose diseases.
