Now, as people's living standards improve, people are increasingly particular about clothing, food, housing and transportation. In terms of food, people are also increasingly focusing on choosing green foods. Therefore, people's demand for beef cattle meat is also growing. The methods for raising beef cattle are also relatively simple, and the cost price of beef cattle is not very high either. So people in the farming industry seem to have seen a business opportunity, and they have all joined the ranks of raising beef cattle one after another.

Analysis of the outlook for beef cattle farming

1. Beef tastes good, has high nutritional value, and its market price is also relatively high. Moreover, due to factors such as rising prices, there is still some room for beef prices to rise. At present, international and domestic market demand is booming, and the competitiveness of Chinese beef cattle in the world market has also noticeably strengthened. China's high-grade fattened beef is selling well in the EU, the United States, Japan, Russia and Middle Eastern countries, and the market potential is great. However, in recent years, the scale of cattle raising by farming households has also declined somewhat, but market demand for beef is still increasing.

2. China's demand for beef will reach 13.28% of global demand; the EU is 13.26%, and Brazil is 12.77%; while the United States firmly holds first place, accounting for 20%. China's per capita consumption last year was 5.6 kg, still lower than other markets; China has nearly 1.4 billion people, the EU about 500 million, the United States 327 million, and Brazil 207 million.

Cost and profit of raising one beef cow

1. For a beef cow, if short-term fattening is required, the cost of the cattle purchase is 0.30-0.35 ten thousand yuan, and the cost of feed, labor, water and electricity is about 0.15 ten thousand yuan. The total is 0.45-0.50 ten thousand yuan. If the growth reaches 1000-1150 jin, calculated at 7.0 yuan/jin, the total is more than 0.70 ten thousand yuan. That is to say, the net profit is more than 0.20 ten thousand yuan.

2. An improved beef bull calf weighing about 300 jin requires an investment of about 1800 yuan, with an average monthly use of about 300 jin of grass, equivalent to about 30 yuan in cash. Fine feed is about 240 jin per month, equivalent to about 150 yuan in cash. If prevention of various cattle diseases and salt are included, calculated at 30 yuan per month. The labor cost per cow is no more than 80 yuan. If the average monthly growth is 100 jin, then in half a year it can grow 600 jin, and together with the original 300 jin purchased, the total can reach more than 900 jin. At present, the net profit from raising one cow is about 4000 yuan.

How to raise beef cattle

1. Breeding breeds: crossbred cattle are best, such as Simmental crossbred cattle, Limousin crossbred cattle, Charolais crossbred cattle, German Yellow cattle, Luxi Yellow cattle, etc. Because crossbred beef cattle have obvious advantages, grow quickly, tolerate coarse feed, have strong disease resistance, high meat production performance, and ideal feed conversion, the fattening results are good. For fattening cattle, generally choose healthy, disease-free crossbred beef cattle aged 4-8 months.

2. Feed preparation: ammoniated feed. Chop crop straw into 5-8 cm lengths, use urea as the ammonia source, dissolve urea equal to a certain percentage of the straw weight in water to make a urea solution of 100-500 g/liter. The content per 100 kg of straw reaches 50%; after thorough stirring, fill a cement pit and compact it.

3. Then feed it. The ammoniated straw is soft in texture and has a burnt-fragrant smell, and its crude protein content can be increased by 1-2 times. Because feed intake and digestibility are improved, the energy conversion rate can be increased by 10%-15%. The feeding method is: start by mixing it with other straw forage, and after it adapts, it can be fed entirely with ammoniated straw.

Precautions for raising beef cattle

1. Disease prevention and quarantine: conduct a comprehensive quarantine of newly introduced cattle, and strictly prohibit the purchase of cattle with infectious diseases. Cattle body disinfection: use 0.3% peracetic acid disinfectant to spray-disinfect each cow once, and within 3 days use 0.25% of a mite-killing emulsion for cattle to wipe the cattle body once, or spray the cattle body with 2% trichlorfon solution.

2. Deworming to prevent the occurrence of external parasitic diseases: within 7 days of entering the pen, orally administer albendazole once at 10 ml per kg of body weight, or use 5-7 mg per kg of body weight of anthelmintic to eliminate internal parasites. If there are external parasites, they should also be treated promptly.

3. Stomach invigoration: 7-8 days after entering the site, use stomach-invigorating powder to invigorate the stomach of all cattle. For cattle weighing less than 250 kg, drench 250 g; for those weighing more than 250 kg, drench 500 g per head. As the cattle's body condition recovers and they adapt to the environment, gradually add concentrated feed.

There are many breeds of beef cattle, and different beef cattle breeds differ greatly in terms of both meat quality and nutritional value. So, if you want to choose to raise beef cattle, you must first decide which breed of beef cattle you should raise.
