Pollution-Free Freshwater Shrimp Farming Techniques and Profit Analysis Per Mu
Because there are many varieties of freshwater shrimp in our country, and freshwater shrimp are very rich in nutritional value. Different varieties of freshwater shrimp also differ in taste and nutritional value, so freshwater shrimp can meet the needs of different people. Now many people have also begun to farm freshwater shrimp, so what are the farming techniques for freshwater shrimp? And what should be noted when farming freshwater shrimp?
How much profit does freshwater shrimp farming bring per mu
1. The number of female shrimp producing offspring per mu per year is: stocking amount 120 jin/mu × 20 shrimp/jin = 2400 shrimp/mu. 1140 shrimp/mu × 200 shrimp/time × 2 times/year = 456000 shrimp/mu per year.
2. The survival rate of breeding shrimp from egg laying to growing into young shrimp is 8% to 30%. Calculated at the lowest 8%, the total annual output of grown shrimp is: 456000 shrimp/year × 8% = 36480 shrimp/mu per year.
3. They can be marketed 2-3 months after egg laying. Each grown shrimp grows to 50 grams (about 10 shrimp/jin). The total annual output per mu is: 36480 shrimp/mu per year ÷ 12 shrimp/jin = 3040 jin/mu per year. Then the annual gross profit per mu is: 3040 jin × 8 yuan/jin = 24320 yuan/mu. Net profit = gross profit 24320 yuan - seed purchase cost (120 jin × 48 yuan) 5760 yuan = 18560 yuan/mu.
Pollution-free freshwater shrimp farming techniques
1. Soil quality: Pollution-free freshwater shrimp do not have high requirements for soil quality. Clay, loam and sandy loam are all acceptable, but the soil should have good water retention, moderate air permeability, and solid embankments capable of resisting floods.
2. Water supply includes drinking water and farming water. Drinking water must meet national drinking water standards. Farming water requires a water source with sufficient water volume, fresh and pollution-free water quality, and no abnormal smell, odor or color.
3. Atmospheric environmental quality is also one of the important factors affecting pollution-free freshwater shrimp farming. Pollutants such as total suspended particulates, sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides and fluoride in the atmosphere around freshwater shrimp farms should all be within the limits set for atmospheric environmental quality in the production of pollution-free aquatic products.
4. Feeding management: After the shrimp fry are stocked, they enter the stage of commercial shrimp feeding management. In the daily feeding of commercial shrimp, feed should follow the “four fixed” feeding principles, achieving fixed quality, fixed quantity, fixed location and fixed time.
What to note when farming freshwater shrimp
1. In freshwater shrimp farming, first pay attention to the choice of pond. Generally, a freshwater pond with an area of three to five mu, a water depth of 1.5 to 2.5 m, sufficient freshwater resources, no pollution and a sandy bottom is best, or a pond that has previously been used to farm freshwater shrimp.
2. One week before stocking animals, freshwater shrimp fry should be used to filter impurities in the pond with a sieve silk net, and the pond water should be fertilized, that is, to cultivate basic bait. When stocking freshwater shrimp fry, it is best to choose late May. The shrimp fry need to live in freshwater for more than one week. In the first month after the shrimp fry are stocked, there is no need to feed compound bait, because the plankton in the pond water is already enough for them to eat. After one month, an appropriate amount of feed should be put into the pond every day.
3. Ten days after freshwater shrimp fry are stocked, gradually inject new water into the pond, adding 10 to 15 cm of clean water each week. In hot weather, change the water every day, and regularly spread quicklime into the pond for disinfection. This can not only sterilize and disinfect, but also improve water quality and bottom quality well, and promote molting and growth.
Is farming freshwater shrimp profitable
1. Because the market demand for freshwater shrimp is relatively large, while wild resources are limited, and the catch is gradually decreasing due to pollution of river waters, the prospects for developing artificial farming are promising. Some experts believe that as long as the rearing is proper, the benefit of farming freshwater shrimp per mu is 6 to 8 times that of farming fish, or even more.
2. Farming freshwater shrimp is not complicated. Generally, ponds with a water depth of 1 m to 1.5 m and a sandy muddy bottom can be used as freshwater shrimp farming ponds. The pond should be close to a water source so that water can be drained in time and oxygen increased. River shrimp are omnivorous. They have strong reproductive capacity and grow quickly, and can also be mixed with non-carnivorous fish such as silver carp and mud carp. If raised well, the economic benefits are considerable.
In the above article, I have already taught everyone some scientific techniques and precautions for farming freshwater shrimp. Have you all learned them? In fact, the commercial prospects of freshwater shrimp are still relatively good. After all, freshwater shrimp are deeply welcomed and loved by people in China.
