Schnauzers are surely familiar to many people; they are a very famous breed of dog, originally from Germany. Many people do not know how to raise a Schnauzer when they get one, but there are actually many techniques involved. If you want your Schnauzer to be obedient, daily training is very important, and when training, you must master the methods.

Are Schnauzers easy to keep

Schnauzers are relatively easy to keep among dogs, because Schnauzers do not shed seasonally and have no body odor, which means they will not ruin your carpets by shedding with the seasons like most pet dogs, nor will they clog the drain after a bath. However, you need to brush its coat every day to keep it clean, and in spring and autumn you need to trim the overlong parts of the coat. And as long as you do the training well, generally a Schnauzer will not disturb you or your neighbors.

How to train a Schnauzer to be obedient

1. Potty training in a fixed spot. Dogs generally want to relieve themselves after eating or just after waking up. To help the dog develop a good habit, first we need to prepare a fairly large flat tray for the dog, lay a few old newspapers stained with the dog's own urine in the tray, and then place the tray in the bathroom or a corner of the balcony. The dog will generally sniff out the smell of its own waste and will relieve itself in the tray.

2. Sit and shake hands training. The best time to train these most basic actions like sitting is before each meal, because only when the dog is hungry will it obediently listen. When teaching each action, the owner must be patient; usually after learning it several times it will remember, and it will never forget it for life. Whenever it learns something, do not forget to reward it with some dog food.

3. Going out for walks training. Owners especially love taking their dogs out for walks, and of course dogs also especially love going out to play, feeling that as soon as they go out they can run wild. From a young age, the dog should get used to wearing a collar when going out, otherwise it will be very unsafe. It is fine if you can fit two fingers between the collar and the neck, and when walking the dog it is best to let it walk on the owner's left side.

How to raise a Schnauzer

1. After a Schnauzer puppy is brought home, because it has just changed environments, it cannot be bathed or taken for walks within 20 days. Within two months of arriving home, it cannot eat meat or drink milk; it is best to feed it porridge-like food or dry food soaked in water. Other foods often cause indigestion, diarrhea and so on, so absolutely do not let the dog eat them.

2. Feed a Schnauzer puppy dog food 4 times a day, each time 2/3 of a standard paper cup (2/3 of a paper cup after soaking soft). Remember to soak it soft with hot water before giving it to him, and absolutely do not let it eat too much or eat randomly. If you want to add nutrition for the Schnauzer, you can add one cooked egg yolk every day; remember that one egg yolk should be fed in three portions.

3. A Schnauzer puppy should be dewormed at 21 days, but since the dog may eat anything when we are not paying attention, and 99% will have “worms”, remember that it needs to be “dewormed” again, otherwise the terrible consequence of “twisted guts” will be unavoidable. For deworming, you can buy a generation of “levamisole” at the pharmacy, once every half month, 3 days each time, half a tablet per day, given orally, for 2 consecutive months.

How to style a Schnauzer to look good

1. Baby-fat style: The baby-fat style is suitable for small Schnauzers whose ears hang completely down against their cheeks. Round the hair on top of the head, let the ear hair hang naturally, shaped like a Bichon style, chubby and very cute. The downside is that it is hard to manage in the hot summer and will increase your baby's discomfort.

2. Punk style: The punk style mainly focuses on the combination of hair accessories and clothes, often paired with denim clothes and shoes, or giving the baby exaggerated and alternative braids and so on to create a relaxed, lively, strange and eccentric European and American punk street style. Some parents with a European and American punk complex can try making this style for their child; it is not without cuteness.

3. Fresh and neat style: The fresh and neat style is to shave the dog's whole body hair short and cut the hair around the mouth into a round shape. It looks very fresh and neat, the hair is not easy to tangle, and it dries fairly quickly after a bath. In addition, shave off the hair on its tail and shorten the hair on the four legs, making it very convenient to care for.

Schnauzers are actually quite easy to raise, but you must master the raising techniques. Environment and feeding are very important, and you also need to deworm it in time. When training a Schnauzer, you can let it get used to doing a few things repeatedly every day, and it will surely become familiar with them quickly.
