Are Poodles easy to keep? Raising methods and potty training tips
Poodles are surely familiar to many people. They are a very common type of dog in daily life, and their presence can now be seen in many parts of the world. Nowadays, many people raise Poodles, but when it comes to raising them, many people do not know how to train them. In fact, there are some little tricks to it.
How to raise Poodles
1. Newborn Poodles should be kept warm, and supervision should also be strengthened to prevent the mother dog from stepping on or crushing them to death. In daily management, they should also be cared for attentively. When newborn Poodles nurse, the nipples they nurse from should be fixed so that each feeds from its own and they remain peaceful with one another. If the mother dog's milk supply is insufficient, special dog milk powder should be supplemented in time, and egg, minced meat, rice porridge, and so on should gradually be added.
2. Small Poodles should be kept warm. They should not be bathed before two months of age. Dog food should be given in small, frequent meals, 4 meals a day, soaked in a little warm water before eating. Poodles after three months of age eat three times a day, morning, noon and evening; Poodles after six months of age eat twice a day, morning and evening; the amount of food should be adjusted according to the Poodle's size. After 4 months, a Poodle's baby teeth begin to fall out. At this time, the roots of its teeth itch, and it likes to gnaw randomly everywhere, so it can be given some bones or chew bones, and so on.
3. When a Poodle reaches 12 weeks of age, change to feeding 3 times a day until 6 months of age, then reduce to feeding twice a day until 9 months of age. After that, depending on the individual or the environment, one meal or two meals a day can be maintained. Adult Poodles mainly need to strengthen their physique. Some trace element tablets, calcium tablets, and granules for regulating the respiratory system can be supplemented, and some pet large instant calcium and multivitamin can be appropriately fed, which can simultaneously supplement various pet calcium, 12 kinds of trace elements and 8 kinds of vitamins.
Are Poodles easy to keep
Whether Poodles are easy to keep mainly depends on one's own raising skills. Some people grasp the methods well and find raising them easy and handy. Others do not grasp the methods well and will certainly find raising them difficult.
How to train Poodles (potty)
1. Training period. Poodle potty training must start from a young age. After the dog enters the home and becomes slightly familiar with the environment, training should begin. Of course, training a Poodle is also not something to rush. You must have persistent perseverance and slowly guide and train the Poodle to develop the habit of relieving itself at a fixed spot.
2. Training method. Place a toilet pan at a certain spot, put old newspapers inside it, spread some sand or furnace ash cinders on top, and within a certain time (such as after feeding, after getting up in the morning, before going to sleep at night) lead the dog to the place where the toilet pan is placed. If the dog can relieve itself in the toilet pan, the trainer should give the dog affectionate petting or a food reward. Sometimes the dog may not necessarily relieve itself within this time, and that is all right too; after a certain time, let it loose again. If it is found that the dog does not relieve itself at the designated spot, then after it finishes, it should be severely scolded so that it knows the owner does not like it, and then it should be taken to the designated potty place.
What dog food should Poodles eat
1. Standard Poodle: recommended food formula; my grain sources include wheat and corn, and meat sources include poultry, fish, and pork.
2. Miniature Poodle: recommended foods include fish, poultry, pork, venison, potatoes, cauliflower, wheat and corn.
3. Toy Poodle: recommended foods are horsemeat and flax, wheat, oats, beet, corn; do not feed rice, soybeans or avocado.
When raising Poodles, be sure to pay attention to keeping them warm. In different periods, the feeding methods for raising them are also different. When training a Poodle, you can repeatedly give it some commands every day, so that it can gradually master them, and later raising it will be easier.
