In the past, families could not afford large shrimp, but what could they do if they wanted to eat shrimp meat? Then they would go to the river to catch some small shrimp. Although people's meals are getting better and better now, they still cannot forget the fresh fragrance of these small shrimp. So how should these small shrimp be raised? Let the editor introduce the breeding methods of small shrimp to everyone, let's take a look together.

How to raise small river shrimp

Methods for raising small river shrimp: maintain water quality, feed some good feed. On the other hand, the shrimp species determines that they cannot grow very large. Shrimp kept in aquariums are basically about 1 inch. Give them minced meat, preferably smaller and more finely chopped, and be careful about changing the water and the water temperature. As long as the water is not too cold, it is fine. There is only one point in keeping shrimp: change the water often and maintain sufficient oxygen.

How to raise river shrimp so they won't die

1. River shrimp breeding methods: Choose a freshwater pond or shrimp pond with an area of 3-5 mu, a water depth of 1.5-2.5 m, sufficient freshwater sources, no pollution, and a sandy bottom. One week before stocking shrimp fry, filter with a 60-80 mesh silk screen, fill with 30 cm of water, and apply 50 kg of base fertilizer (fermented livestock manure) or 5 kg of urea per mu to cultivate basic bait.

2. Generally, when the water temperature stabilizes at 18-20°C in late May, shrimp fry can be stocked. Shrimp fry need more than one week of desalination treatment, and can only be stocked when the specific gravity is below 1.003. Generally, 30,000-40,000 shrimp fry of 0.7-1.0 cm are stocked per mu. Fry below 0.7 cm need temporary rearing. Shrimp ponds can be mixed with 80-150 silver carp and bighead carp fingerlings of 10-20 cm. Generally, after 80-100 days of breeding, when the shrimp body reaches 7-10 cm, they can be caught and sold according to market conditions. They can be caught with nets or by draining water. After being out of water for 36 hours in dry live transport, the survival rate can reach 90%. River shrimp, also known as oriental river prawn, are widely distributed in China's rivers, lakes, reservoirs and ponds.

The difference between sea shrimp and river shrimp

1. Sea shrimp mainly consist of white shrimp, while river shrimp mainly consist of prawns. They both belong to the Palaemonidae family, and their appearance is very similar, but their taste and texture are quite different, so their market prices also differ greatly.

2. River shrimp are mainly oriental river prawns, with a blue-green body, brown markings, and a very thin and relatively soft shell. Although they are smaller, their protein content is by no means inferior to sea shrimp, and their calcium content is also higher. However, because river water is easily polluted, the quality of the shrimp may be affected. Shrimp is one of our favorite foods. Grass shrimp is one of the more commonly eaten shrimp types. This type of shrimp is divided into two kinds, one is sea shrimp, and the other is river shrimp.

When water is too clear, there are no fish, so to raise these aquatic organisms, the water cannot be too clean, otherwise nothing can grow in the water. Moss and other microorganisms can remain in the water, but fish cannot be raised where shrimp are kept, because the fish will eat all the shrimp.
