Key Technical Points and Application Methods for Raising Fish with Chicken Manure
AbstractUsing chicken manure fertilizer to raise fish requires small amounts applied frequently and spread evenly. Fish farming requires the application of fully fermented chicken manure feed, so that the oxygen content of the pond water does not become too low and cause oxygen deprivation in the fish. In addition to chicken manure, the feed for the fish must also be combined with other fish feed to ensure balanced nutrition. Carry out regular water changes to ensure a healthy cycle in the fish pond.
1. Feeding fish with chicken manure organic fertilizer requires small amounts applied multiple times, spreading the manure liquid evenly into the fish pond. The fertility of the pond water can be judged from the transparency and color of the pond water. If the transparency is maintained at around 25 cm and the water is yellowish-brown, it proves that the fertility of the pond water is still acceptable and no fertilization is needed. If the transparency is greater than 30 cm, it proves that the fertility of the pond water has declined and fertilization is needed.
2. The chicken manure feed put into the fish pond needs to first have a fermentation agent added for complete fermentation and decomposition, so that fermentation inside the pond does not consume the oxygen in the pond water and cause oxygen deprivation in the fish. After fermentation, the chicken manure also kills viruses and parasite eggs, and so will not harm the health of the fish.
3. Chicken manure feed is not suitable for all fish to eat; it is most suitable for feeding silver carp, common carp and bighead carp. In fish ponds with mixed fish farming, in addition to feeding chicken manure feed, it also needs to be combined with other fish feed and green feed, etc., so that all fish species can have balanced nutrition and grow better.
4. Feeding fish with chicken manure feed will increase the metabolic waste in the fish pond, so the pond water needs to be changed regularly and new water added, in order to keep the pond water clean and the oxygen sufficient.
